EdApp

EdApp was a mobile-first learning platform known for microlearning, rapid authoring, gamification, and bite-sized workplace training. It was widely used for onboarding, frontline learning, and short-form digital training delivered across mobile and web.

This page is kept as a legacy reference within Nom@d Learning’s Training Solutions and Tools section. EdApp was retired in March 2026 as SafetyCulture consolidated its training capabilities into its broader platform, so the original product is no longer available in the way it once was.

Why it mattered

  • It helped popularise mobile-first microlearning for workplace training.
  • It made short-form learning easier to create and distribute at scale.
  • It reinforced the value of timely, practical learning in the flow of work.

What changed

EdApp became part of SafetyCulture and was later rebranded as SC Training before being retired in 2026. If you are researching this space now, it makes more sense to look at current workplace learning and microlearning platforms rather than the original EdApp product.

My view

The bigger lesson from EdApp is not the platform itself, but the continuing relevance of mobile learning, spaced reinforcement, and practical capability building. At Nom@d Learning, I am more interested in those underlying learning principles than in promoting tools that are no longer current.
